Your English. Your Malta. All year round.

Are you between 18 and 25 and looking to spend some time in Malta to improve your English?

Study inMalta is inMalta’s year-round programme for young adults who want to experience life abroad with one clear goal: to learn English, use it every day and experience Malta independently. The programme includes everything you need to get started: we welcome you when you arrive in Malta, arrange your accommodation and help you choose the English course and language school that best suit your needs. The rest of your Malta experience is yours to create.

Your English course

Not everyone starts at the same level and, more importantly, not everyone studies English for the same reason. You may want to improve your general English, become more confident in conversation, prepare for university, improve your English for work or simply make the most of a few weeks abroad to take your language skills to the next level. That’s why Study inMalta doesn’t offer you a pre-selected school. Malta has a wide range of language schools and courses, each with different characteristics. inMalta helps you find the most suitable option based on your needs, your current level, your goals, the time of year and the length of your stay. You’ll attend an English course at a language school in Malta, alongside other international students. You study in the morning or afternoon. Outside school, you start putting what you’ve learnt into practice. Because Malta itself can become an extension of your course.

Experience Malta your way

Study inMalta isn’t an organised trip where someone decides what you have to do at every moment of the day. You’re between 18 and 25, and we want Malta to be an experience of independence too. After your lessons, you’re free to organise your own time, explore the island, go to the beach, visit Valletta, Mdina and other places around Malta, go out in the evening or simply spend time with the people you meet on your course. So you won’t find a calendar packed with excursions, but you will find ideas about what to do, what to see and where to go. We give you the freedom to create your own experience, day by day. And very often, the new friends you meet at school will become the people you explore Malta with.

Study together. Discover Malta together.

An international language school is about much more than lessons. Every day, you can meet students from different countries who share your desire to learn English and experience life abroad. Your course also becomes the starting point for meeting new people. To make these moments easier, Study inMalta also includes entry to selected social events: opportunities to meet, talk, have fun and start building your own group of friends. From there, Malta is yours. You can organise a day at the beach, visit Gozo, walk through Valletta, spend an afternoon in Sliema, go out at night, head to a club or one of Malta’s many bars and pubs, or decide together what to discover the next day. And it’s outside the classroom that the English you study during your course starts becoming a language you actually use.

Choose how you want to live

Accommodation is also part of the experience, and there’s no single solution that suits everyone. With Study inMalta, you can choose from different types of accommodation depending on how you like to travel, your needs and your budget. You can stay in a hotel, choose an apartment or live with a host family. Three different ways to experience Malta. A hotel is ideal if you’re looking for greater comfort and independence, and some of the hotels we recommend also offer kitchenette facilities. An apartment gives you greater independence and can also be an opportunity to share everyday life with other students. A host family, on the other hand, gives you the chance to experience more of everyday Maltese life and provides additional opportunities to use English outside school. We help you find the option that best matches the kind of experience you want to have.

You arrive in Malta. We’re here.

Going abroad to study also means arriving in a new country, perhaps for the very first time. That’s why your Study inMalta experience starts right at the airport. When you arrive in Malta, we’ll be there to welcome you and arrange your transfer to your chosen accommodation. You won’t have to start your trip by looking for buses and addresses or trying to work out how to reach your accommodation with your luggage. From that moment on, you can focus on what really matters: settling in, starting your course and experiencing Malta. inMalta remains your point of reference throughout your stay, while giving you all the independence that an experience for young adults should offer.

Not just for summer

Malta isn’t just a summer destination. Study inMalta is available all year round. You can come in autumn, winter, spring or summer and choose the length of your stay according to your goals and the time you have available. Outside the summer months, Malta also reveals a different side: a more relaxed pace, an international atmosphere centred around its language schools and plenty of opportunities to experience the island while improving your English. You don’t have to wait until summer to leave. Choose when Malta fits into your plans.

What’s included in Study inMalta

Study inMalta brings together the essentials you need to organise your English language stay in Malta in one package:

  • welcome at Malta International Airport;
  • transfer from the airport to your accommodation;
  • accommodation in a hotel, apartment or with a host family;
  • English course at a language school in Malta selected according to your needs;
  • entry to selected social events and opportunities to meet other people;
  • inMalta organisation and assistance throughout your stay.

We’ve deliberately chosen not to fill the package with scheduled activities and excursions. Malta is an easy island to explore, and an important part of the experience is learning to discover it independently, perhaps together with the new friends you meet during your course.

Study inMalta is for you if...

  • You’re between 18 and 25.
  • You want to make real progress in English by attending a language school in Malta.
  • You want a course that genuinely matches your goals.
  • You want to be able to choose between a hotel, an apartment and a host family.
  • You want to meet students from other countries.
  • You want the freedom to organise your own time outside school.
  • You want to spend a few weeks, or even a few months, away from home.
  • You want to discover Malta without following someone else’s programme every day.

Study inMalta is designed to give you everything you need to come to Malta, study and experience the island, while giving you the freedom to make the stay your own. The course brings you to Malta. The people you meet, the English you speak and everything you discover will do the rest.
