Who We Are

inMalta was born from first-hand knowledge of Malta, built by living and working on the island and, year after year, supporting students who choose this destination to learn English and enjoy an international experience. We have been operating in Malta since 2010 and specialise in organising study holidays, English language courses and educational stays. Our work is based on a simple principle: we do not want to simply sell an English course, accommodation or a package. We want to help every student choose the experience that best suits their age, their goals and the way they want to experience Malta. This is why we are based directly on the island and support our students both before departure and throughout their stay.

Malta is our home

Knowing a destination means much more than knowing its hotels, schools or tourist attractions. It means living there. Our team operates directly in Malta and knows the island, its different areas, English language schools, accommodation options and the services we offer our students. This knowledge allows us to recommend different solutions according to individual needs. St. Julian’s can be the ideal choice for those looking for a young, international and particularly lively environment. Sliema offers a cosmopolitan urban setting by the sea, with a wide range of services. Other areas of the island may be more suitable for those looking for a quieter environment, for students spending a longer period in Malta or for programmes designed for specific age groups. There is no single Malta that is right for everyone. Our job is to help every student find the Malta that is right for them.

Working with international students since 2010

inMalta has been operating in the study travel sector in Malta since 2010. Over the years, we have supported students of very different ages and with very different needs: children and teenagers on their first experience abroad, young people looking for an international summer experience, university students, young professionals and adults who want to improve their English for personal or professional reasons. The needs of an Under 18 student are very different from those of an adult. This is why we have developed different programmes and different levels of support. In programmes for young people, particular importance is given to the organisation of each day, supervision, safety, activities and the presence of responsible adults they can rely on. For Over 18 students, on the other hand, our role is primarily to help them choose the school, course, accommodation and area of Malta that best match their goals and the type of experience they want to have.

Our Under 18 programmes combine English language learning, accommodation, activities, excursions, group life and support. The aim is not simply to organise a holiday. We want to create an environment where young people can use English, meet peers from other countries, discover Malta and gradually become more independent. Programmes are differentiated according to age because a child and an older teenager have different needs, interests and levels of independence. Having our team based directly in Malta also allows us to support young people while the programme is taking place and to be a point of reference for both students and their families. Malta is home to numerous schools specialising in teaching English to international students. Having such a wide choice is an advantage, but it can also make it more difficult to understand which school is genuinely the most suitable. Not all schools have the same atmosphere, average student age, location or types of courses. This is why we do not offer the same solution to everyone. We consider the student’s age, English level, goals, length of stay, budget and personal preferences in order to identify the most suitable options. We work with different English language schools in Malta and do not charge any additional commission on top of their official prices: our organisation is paid directly by our partner schools. This allows us to focus our advice on the choice we believe is best suited to each student, based on our own experience and on the experience gained over the years through our clients. We believe that the value of a study stay cannot be measured simply by the number of hours spent in the classroom. English is learned at school, but above all it is lived outside the classroom. You use it when meeting students from other countries, sharing an apartment, taking part in an activity, ordering in a restaurant, asking for information or simply spending an evening with people who do not speak your native language. It is this international dimension that makes a stay abroad different from a regular English course. This is why, when we design or recommend an experience, we consider not only the school but everything surrounding the course: accommodation, location, people, activities and opportunities to truly experience Malta.

Before, during and after

Our relationship with each student begins before they arrive in Malta. We help them understand the different options available and choose the most suitable programme, school, course or accommodation. But our work does not end with the booking. Being based directly in Malta means that we can continue to be a point of reference throughout the stay. We know the organisations we work with and can intervene directly whenever it is necessary to speak with a school, accommodation provider or local supplier. For us, this local presence represents one of the most important differences between selling a stay in Malta and actually organising it.

One team, one destination, many different experiences

Some people come to Malta at the age of 12 for their first ever study holiday. Some arrive at 17, eager to meet young people from other countries and experience a different kind of summer. Some come at 20 to improve their English before university or starting their career. Others arrive at 35, 50 or 65 because they need English for their profession or simply because they have finally decided to dedicate some time to themselves. They are different people, with different expectations. What they have in common is Malta and the opportunity to live the English language every day. Since 2010, our job has been to help them turn that opportunity into a real experience. This is inMalta.
