Young inMalta – Activities and Free Time

Experience Malta, meet new people, speak English

Young inMalta is not just a programme to improve your English. It is an experience to enjoy in Malta with other young people your age, combining organised moments, activities, the sea, fun and free time. Some of the experiences are shared with the young native English speakers taking part in the programme, so English continues beyond the dedicated conversation sessions in a spontaneous and natural way. Going to the beach, spending a day together or simply deciding what to do in the evening all become opportunities to speak English without feeling as though you are in a lesson. The programme still gives you plenty of freedom. You are between 18 and 25 and experience Malta as an adult: in addition to the activities offered, you can organise your own free time, go out with the other participants, head to the beach, discover new places or decide together with the group how to spend the day or evening. During your stay, however, we also organise a number of experiences for all participants in your age group.

Comino and the Blue Lagoon

A day dedicated to one of the best-known places in the Maltese archipelago. Comino is particularly famous for the Blue Lagoon and its crystal-clear waters, ideal for swimming and enjoying a day by the sea. It is one of the experiences not to be missed during a summer stay in Malta and an opportunity to spend a day with the other participants, enjoying the sea, relaxing and having fun.

Jet Ski

A much more dynamic experience. Jet skiing lets you experience the sea around Malta from a completely different perspective, adding a touch of adrenaline and excitement to the programme. A summer activity to share with the other participants and one of the most exciting moments of the Young inMalta experience.

Café del Mar

One of Malta’s best-known summer venues, overlooking the Mediterranean. Its pool, music and international atmosphere make it one of the island’s most popular places during the summer. A day at Café del Mar is above all an opportunity to relax, have fun and experience one of the most distinctive settings of the Maltese summer together with the other participants.

Pool Party

Music, swimming pool and new friends. The Pool Party is one of the programme’s social events: an informal opportunity to spend time together, have fun and get to know other participants and young people your own age. Here too, English simply becomes the language you use to communicate with people of different nationalities.

Mellieħa Bay

A day at one of Malta’s best-known sandy beaches. Mellieħa Bay offers a long stretch of beach and a sea that is ideal for spending several hours swimming, sunbathing and relaxing. It is a classic Maltese summer day to enjoy at your own pace together with the other participants.

And then it’s up to you

Young inMalta does not fill every moment of your day with a fixed schedule. An important part of the experience is having the freedom to organise your own time. Together with the other participants, you can decide to go to the beach, go shopping, visit somewhere new, go out in the evening, eat out, go clubbing or simply spend time in the Campus facilities. Malta offers plenty of possibilities, and the island’s small size makes it easy to get around. This independence is part of the programme: Young inMalta gives you experiences to enjoy together, while also giving you the time and freedom to create your own Malta experience.

Study inMalta – Activities and Free Time

Study English and discover Malta in your free time

With Study inMalta, you attend your English course at a language school in Malta, but the experience does not end when you leave the classroom. Your free time is an opportunity to discover the island, meet new people and continue using English in everyday situations. The programme includes activities and experiences that allow you to discover Malta while combining study, the sea, culture and social life. You are between 18 and 25 and maintain your independence: outside the scheduled activities, you are free to organise your days and evenings as you wish, either on your own or with the new friends you meet during your stay.

Comino and the Blue Lagoon

One of Malta’s iconic experiences. A day in Comino gives you the opportunity to discover the Blue Lagoon, famous for its clear waters and Mediterranean colours. You can swim, relax and enjoy a day by the sea in one of the best-known places in the Maltese archipelago.

A Day at the Beach

Studying English in Malta also means being able to combine lessons with time by the sea. A day at the beach is an opportunity to relax, swim and enjoy the island’s climate together with the other participants. Especially during the warmer months, the sea naturally becomes an important part of the Malta experience.

Valletta

Malta is not just about the sea. During your stay, you will have the opportunity to discover Valletta, Malta’s capital and one of the island’s most fascinating cities. Its streets, bastions, squares and historic buildings tell centuries of Maltese history. A visit to Valletta gives you the opportunity to discover a completely different side of the destination and better understand the place you have chosen for your studies.

Disco Pub

An evening dedicated to the social side of your stay. Music, fun and the opportunity to spend time with the other participants in an informal setting. It is also a chance to meet new people and use English naturally outside school.

Your Malta, in Your Free Time

Study inMalta offers you a selection of experiences, but it does not organise every moment of your stay. When you are not at school and do not have a scheduled activity, you are free to organise your time however you prefer: you can visit other places, go to the beach, go shopping, take part in events organised by your school, go out with other international students or simply experience Malta at your own pace. Your school provides your study programme. inMalta adds the services and experiences that help you make the most of the destination. The rest of the Malta you discover is also up to you.
